This item is individually made to order and the photos in the listing are of previous commissions, for inspiration only (not for sale). Your order will have its own individual look and character depending on the fabric provided.

The bear can be personalised with embroidery or a tag.

They are NOT intended as a toy to be played with by children under 14 years, due to small parts that are a potential CHOKING HAZARD*
Due to materials used, they can’t be individually UKCA & CE safety checked & are therefore not sold as toys. They are sold to you as an ornamental keepsake only.

WHAT ARE MEMORY KEEPSAKES?
Memory keepsakes are unique items created individually for you, using sentimental fabric, jewellery, etc. 
These items are created for a variety of reasons. Wether it’s to cherish a memory of a particular place or occasion, in memory of a loved one, in celebration of an achievement, maybe they are to mark a significant milestone (birthday, anniversary, graduation, retirement etc.), each item is intended to capture special and sentimental memories. They will also provide you with a unique item that can be passed down through generations. 
HOW ARE YOUR MEMORY KEEPSAKES CREATED?
Each keepsake is individually handcrafted by myself in my studio. Fabric items are created by backing your fabric with an appropriate lining, for stability. This ensures the finished item is strong enough to stand the test of time. These items are made using a combination of machine and hand sewing techniques. (However, due to the possible delicate nature of the outer fabric you supply, please take special care over the cleaning etc. of your keepsake).

HOW MUCH INPUT DO I HAVE ON THE DESIGN? 
As much or as little as you like. (Within reason). All designs must be based on me using my current stock of patterns, however the details and finishes can all be adapted to your ideas. I will send you an order form to complete asking for your requirements and requests. For many orders, this allows enough information to complete your design. If more detailed information is required, I can arrange a phone consultation with you to discuss details. If you would prefer a surprise (or don’t really know what you want), please simply request a particular item and send a variety of materials, along with information about the memories you would like to capture. I will then create a design for you. 
WHAT MATERIAL CAN BE USED FOR YOUR MEMORY KEEPSAKES?
Most fabrics can be used to create the memory keepsakes, as all the fabric will be backed with a lining fabric where required. 
Particularly thick/heavy fabric may not be suitable, please contact us if you have doubts over a particular piece. 
For the best results, please send fabric in colours or patterns that will coordinate well in the finished design. However, the most important thing is that the sight or feel of the fabric will bring back special memories. 
Jewellery, metal, wooden and beaded items can also be used in some designs. Please feel free to contact me if you would like to discuss ideas for including a specific or unusual piece. 
HOW MANY ITEMS OF CLOTHING/FABRICS DO I NEED TO SEND YOU?
This depends on the size and style of the keepsakes you have ordered. Some designs require more fabric than others. Once you have placed an order, you will receive an order from advising you of the quantity required for your individual design. 
As a general guide, I ask you to send the following quantities:
6-10 items of small baby clothing (up to 12 months, babygrows, t-shirts, etc.)
5-8  items of large baby clothing (12-24 months jumper, dress, t-shirt, jeans,etc.)
3-5 items of children's clothing (cardigan, jumper, dress, t-shirt, jeans, etc.)
1-3 items of adult clothing (jumper, t-shirt, shirt, jeans, dress, skirt etc)
3-8 pillow cases/cushion covers 
1-2 duvet cover, curtain or blanket (1 is enough fabric but 2 allows for a contrast) 
Please also include any badges, jewellery, ties, buttons etc if you would like these included in the design. 
PLEASE NOTE- I may not need to use every item you send. Any unused items will be returned to you with your completed item. Please include a note with the items you send me, stating wether there are any particular favourite pieces you would like included in the design. 
PLEASE ALSO NOTE- All clothes MUST be clean (freshly laundered) & in good condition please. (Don’t worry if there are a few holes or stubborn stains though - I can work around these).

I DON’T HAVE ENOUGH FABRIC TO SEND. CAN I STILL PLACE AN ORDER?
That’s not a problem. If you would like to just send the sentimental piece/pieces that you have, I can provide the additional fabric required to compliment/contrast your item. (Additional charge applies to cover material costs- please contact me for a quote). 
HOW DO I SEND THE ITEMS TO YOU?
Once you have placed your order, I will contact you to discuss the design options and provide you with my address. Please carefully package your items along with a note containing your name and contact details and send them to me using a tracked and signed for service. It’s important that the parcel is tracked and signed for, due to the sentimental nature of the items you send me. I am not liable for the items until they are in my possession. 
Alternatively, if you would prefer to deliver your parcel in person, please contact me to book an appointment.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO CREATE MY MEMORY KEEPSAKE?
This depends on the complexity of your design and my workload at the time of ordering. Each item is individually handcrafted by myself and I’m therefore not able to rush any orders, as this would have a detrimental result on your finished item. 
In normal circumstances, once I receive your fabric, your finished creature should be ready within 3-8 weeks. 
If your delivery is likely to be delayed, I will inform you when you place your order.
If you require your keepsake by a certain date, please contact me before ordering to check availability. 
DO YOU ACCEPT RETURNS?
Sorry, but I’m unable to accept returns as each item is bespoke for you and specially made to order. However, please contact me if there are any problems with your order. 
PLEASE NOTE- All images provided are examples only. Your finished item will have a unique look of its own. Due to the variety of fabrics we receive from you, the finished design will differ from the examples shown.
All sizes are approximate, as the type of fabric will determine the actual finished size.
